Amanita muscaria is a grounding mushroom known for its calming effects. While often misunderstood, in small doses, it is not hallucinogenic and supports relaxation and reflection. For more information, read my blog post about the Winter Solstice & Amanita.
The Winter Solstice tea recipe is Amanita muscaria, pine needle, rosemary, orange, cinnamon, and cloves.
While there will be very little Amanita in the tea and many indigenous practices include ingesting Amanita while pregnant, the research is very limited and it is not recommended. In addition, the tea will have pine needle which is contraindicated for pregnancy. However, I will have a gentle, pregnancy safe alternative tea available.

Wear comfortable clothes and bring a yoga mat or something soft to lie on. Many participants find an eye mask helpful for blocking out light during breathwork, and you may also want to bring layers, as some people get cold while others get warm. Items like a pillow for back support or a favorite blanket can also help you feel more comfortable.
Yes! It’s best to complete the journal beforehand so you arrive with clarity about what you want to release and create in the coming year. You can work through the journal on your own or join the Winter Solstice Journaling Session, which is included with your registration. This session provides guidance and group support to help you prepare.

Absolutely! While Amanita tea is a special part of the ceremony, participation is completely optional. I will also have a pregnancy safe tea if you prefer. You can still benefit from the breathwork, journaling, and group connection.
